| Rusty, a freshman, enters college ready to start a new life for himself. He meets his conservative roommate Dale, and befriends fellow freshman Calvin during Rush. Despite warning from his popular sister Casey, who distances herself from Rusty, Rusty is encouraged to join both Omega Chi Delta from Evan, its President and Kappa Tau Gamma by its President, Cappie. Meanwhile, Casey and her fellow sisters at Zeta Beta Zeta are eager to bid Rebecca Logan, the senator's daughter. During rush, Rusty catches Evan, who is also Casey's boyfriend, cheating on her with Rebecca. After discovering this, Casey has a drunken one-night stand with Cappie, her ex. Calvin also has a one-night stand with a brother of Kappa Tau. After wrestling with his emotions, Rusty confronts Evan about Casey in a barfight and spends a night in jail. In the end, Rusty decides to join Kappa Tau, Calvin goes to Omega Chi, Rebecca joins Zeta Beta, and Casey wrestles whether or not to forgive Evan. | |||

| The college's first week is filled with all the fraternities and sororities hazing their pledges. Zeta Beta Zeta, holds a pledges' scavenger hunt. Casey gives Rebecca a different and harder list to get back at her. Rebecca gets in trouble because of her scavenger list, and as Zeta Beta Zeta could get in serious trouble, Rebecca's dad steps in and saves the day. Frannie is so happy she allows Rebecca to take Casey's room. While moving out Casey receives a video of Rebecca and Evan having sex so Casey blackmails Rebecca and gets her room back. Meanwhile, Rusty is adjusting to his new life as a pledge, coping with the bizarre hazing rituals of Kappa Tau. During the pledge process, the brothers of Omega Chi challenge the Kappa Taus to a beer pong match the night before Rusty's first exam. Torn between his pledgemates and studying with his Dale, Rusty blows off studying to compete in pong, and subsequently misses the exam. Eventually, Rusty learns the exam was ungraded and was simply a means to weed out disinterested students. | |||

Calvin's father arrives at Omega Chi to encourage Calvin to join the hockey team despite how he thinks about it. | Casey and the young women of Zeta Beta Zeta plan a charitable performance as part of their community service; Rusty and Cappie deal with lovesickness. Rusty takes Jen K out on a date and awkwardly tells her he loves her, causing a rift in the relationship. Cappie then takes Rusty out to the lunch buffet at a local strip club along with the brothers of Kappa Tau and Calvin. At the club, Heath confronts Calvin about their relationship. They eventually decide to call it quits. Cappie blacks out and fails to come up with the money to foot the bill. Rusty calls Casey to bail them out. Dale begins to fall for Casey while organizing the charity event. | |||

| Frannie learns she must complete a 5th year of school to graduate. She and Casey also vie for the title of Omega Chi Sweetheart. Despite Frannie's attempts to thwart Casey, Casey wins, leaving Frannie embittered and jealous. Rusty and Jen K long for privacy, but are stymied by Dale. When Rusty blows off Dale at the lecture for Jen K, he decides to get back by making Rusty's life miserable. In the end, Dale and Rusty agree to be civil. Cappie signs up for a psychology experiment, which is inadvertently run by Rebecca. They eventually bond during the experiment. After receiving $300 for participating, Cappie gives the money to Casey to pay her back for bailing him out earlier. | Jen K is exposed as an undercover reporter and for writing a scathing article about the Greek System. As a result, she is kicked out of the house, ZBZ is investigated by Nationals, Frannie is removed as President, and Casey is installed as the interim. Rusty breaks it off with Jen K after she confesses she wrote the article. Ashleigh professes her feelings for Calvin and overreacts when he comes out to her. However, she also accidentally outs Calvin to his fraternity brothers, who exhibit a negative reaction. Evan begins to question his relationship with Casey. After a night of drinking, Rusty finds that Cappie and Rebecca have slept together. In the end, Rusty and Casey drive off towards home, with Cappie watching them leave for the break. | |||

To her surprise, Evan backs her proposal. Later, Casey must deal with the arrival of Zeta Beta Nationals Chapter consultant Lizzi. The latter will stay as long as required, so ZBZ must get their act straight fast if they don't want chipper Lizzi to be a permanent fixture. | Andrea, a ZBZ sister leaves the house because of Lizzie and the fact that the house has become a job. Lizzie tries to reassure the sisters that she's not a tyrant and that she can have fun. Rusty asks Calvin to come by the house to meet everyone and maybe join, but Rusty soon learns that Calvin agreed to go back to Omega Chi. Will Rusty be able to lure Calvin to his house? | |||

Some ideas include wiring Tri-Pi showers with web cams, making a video game featuring the brothers as the characters, tire swing, etc. At the meeting, Rusty feels left out because he missed a few pledge activities due to another "Jen K crisis." The ZBZ girls go to an animal shelter for their next philanthropy project. Casey knows about Rebecca and Cappie and pretends to be fine with it. Ashleigh meets with Jason, the social chair of the dorkiest fraternity on campus, to find a way out of a mixer. | The episode features various flashbacks from 2005. One will feature a rush night skit during which Casey, Ashleigh, a dozen other rushees, Frannie and Libby put up their version of Grey's Anatomy. A third flashback shows the ceremony during which Frannie was assigned to be Casey's Big Sis. Rebecca wants Cappie to accompany her to a dance. | ZBZ is finally on the recovery path when a few of its members are invited to the Lambda Sig Pink Rose Formal (Lambda Sig is the second hottest house on campus according to Frannie). Frannie wants to throw a mixer with Omega Chi but Casey is against it. Dale and Rusty go out on a double date with a student named Emma and her roommate Tina. After the date, Rusty feels terrible because it was supposed to be his night and it turned out badly for him but not for Dale and Tina. Later, Rusty and Emma try to patch things up but it's an uneasy road. When Cappie is sick, Rebecca is told that Casey never left his side until he felt better; Rebecca feels obligated to do so herself. Casey and Evan agree to be friends. | |||

| It's Freshman Parents Weekend on campus. Rusty and Casey's parents, Karen and Russell, Sr., attend. Rusty tries to hide something from them claiming that "it will kill them" if they learn the truth but Casey pushes for him to spill the beans, surely in the hope that their mother will stop being on her case. Dale's friendly parents, Bob and Norma, also visit the campus. To Rusty's displeasure, they know everything about him and will also sleep in the dorm room! | It's time for the annual ZBZ fest which consists of all the fraternities competing in various competitions to be named the "Big Cat on Campus". Casey, Frannie and Rebecca each coach a different fraternity with the bet being the losers' coaches would be on fraternity bathroom duty. Casey backs the Lambda Sigs (the jock frat) and hits it off with a brother named Shane. Frannie seconds the Omega Chis and tries to help Evan win back Casey despite the awkwardness they have around each other. Rebecca runs to the Kappa Taus but realized shortly that Cappie and the gang are not the most athletically gifted guys around and need all help they can get. She demands that she have an assistant and Cappie in his infinite wisdom nominates Rusty for the job, much to Rebecca and Rusty's dismay. Rusty and the rest of the Kappas quickly grow tired of Rebecca's demands but nobody wants to say anything to Cappie because of the "guy code". Everything comes to ahead at the Mr. Purr-fect contest. Rusty finally comes clean to Cappie and to his surprise, Cappie was suspecting as such and he purposefully loses the contest. Rebecca seeing the error of her ways, makes peace with Rusty and the other KTs. Shane and the Lambda Sigs end up winning the competition and as a reward, Shane wanted to take Casey out on a date. Evan, noticing Casey's and Shane's flirtations with each other offers Shane a $1,000 to back off. Shane accepts and Evan is left to console Casey. As all this is going on, Ashleigh matches up Calvin with her French TA Michael. The two hit it off but things hit a snag when Michael sends flowers to the Omega Chi house. | |||

| To celebrate the lifting of party restrictions, Omega Chi throws a "Six-Way" between three fraternities and sororities. Not invited to the party, Kappa Tau throws its own party, which has poor attendance until Cappie comes up with creative ways to obtain more alcohol. Evan compels Calvin to keep an eye on Casey and prevent her from hitting it off with anyone. Calvin invites Michael to the party and Michael feels uncomfortable. Rusty tries to end things with his "fun-buddy" Tina, with the help of his fraternity brothers. | |||
